Inside Abu Dhabi: How Ron Daniel Helped Build an Israeli AI Finance Hub in the UAE

Posted on August 13, 2026 by Titus

When the Abraham Accords reshaped relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, few Israeli entrepreneurs moved as quickly—or as strategically—as Ron Daniel.
Best known as the Co-Founder and CEO of Liquidity Group, Daniel has transformed Abu Dhabi into one of the company’s most important operational and technological centers, positioning it at the intersection of artificial intelligence, private credit, and regional financial innovation.

From Startup Founder to Regional Financier
Over the past two decades, Ron Daniel has built a career across technology, fintech, and venture finance. After founding several technology ventures and serving in executive roles within Israel’s tech ecosystem, he launched Liquidity Group in 2018 with the ambition of reinventing corporate financing through artificial intelligence.
Today, the company manages billions of dollars in assets and provides growth financing to technology companies worldwide using proprietary machine-learning systems for real-time credit assessment.

Abu Dhabi: The Real Center of Operations
While Daniel frequently appears at conferences in Dubai, the company’s strategic footprint is firmly anchored in Abu Dhabi. Following the Abraham Accords, Liquidity became the first Israeli company to establish a full-scale Research & Development center in Abu Dhabi, working in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) and operating within the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) ecosystem.

The facility is dedicated to developing:
Artificial intelligence models for financial decision-making
Machine learning algorithms for underwriting
Automated risk assessment technologies
Credit analytics platforms for global investment operations
The Abu Dhabi office has evolved beyond a regional branch, serving as one of Liquidity Group’s primary technology and investment hubs.

Hundreds of Millions Directed Into the UAE
Through Mars Growth Capital—a joint initiative between Liquidity Group and Japan’s Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG)—Daniel has overseen the deployment of hundreds of millions of dollars into high-growth companies across the UAE.
Public statements from the company indicate that more than US$300 million has been allocated to businesses in the Emirates, targeting technology firms seeking growth capital in the US$20–50 million range.
This strategy aligns closely with Abu Dhabi’s broader ambition to become a global center for artificial intelligence and financial technology.

Close Cooperation with Emirati Institutions
Daniel’s activities extend beyond private investment.
Liquidity Group has worked closely with Emirati institutions including:
Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO)
Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM)
The collaboration focuses on strengthening Abu Dhabi’s AI ecosystem by transferring expertise in financial technology, developing machine-learning capabilities, and supporting local innovation through specialized research initiatives.
One flagship objective has been the creation of a Machine Learning Centre of Excellence, designed to accelerate AI adoption within the UAE’s financial sector.

Public Face of Israel–UAE Economic Cooperation
Ron Daniel has become one of the most visible Israeli business leaders promoting economic cooperation between Israel and the UAE.
He is a recurring speaker at major regional events including:
Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW)
Investopia
GITEX Global
His presentations consistently focus on artificial intelligence, private credit, digital finance, and the future of institutional investment.
His role has also been publicly acknowledged by Asher Fredman, an Israeli policy expert involved in advancing Israel–

UAE relations following the Abraham Accords.
After meeting Daniel, Fredman described him as one of the pioneers of commercial cooperation between Israel and the Emirates, highlighting Liquidity as the first Israeli company to establish an R&D center in Abu Dhabi employing data scientists from the UAE, Israel, and other countries.
Strategic Significance
Ron Daniel’s activities illustrate how financial technology has become a key pillar of post-Abraham Accords cooperation.
Rather than limiting expansion to commercial representation, Liquidity Group established permanent technological infrastructure inside Abu Dhabi, integrating Israeli AI expertise with Emirati financial ambitions.
As regional competition for AI investment intensifies, Daniel continues to position Abu Dhabi as a central node in Liquidity Group’s global operations—making the UAE not merely a market for investment, but one of the company’s most important strategic bases.
